Common Mistakes: musics

Common Mistakes: musics:-

Never say: musics

Say: music or songs (depending on the context ).

The word “music” is a non-countable noun and it’s just “music,” not “musics.”

So, you cannot say: “2 musics... 3 musics... the musics...” You can only say, “music.”

“I like the music.”

“I like music.”

“I’d like to listen to some music.”

Now, if you want to make it countable, then you should say “song.”

“This CD has 10 songs.”

“I’d like to hear some more songs.”

“The songs at the concert were really good.”

So remember
, “music” stays “music” –not “musics.” You can’t say, “2 musics.” If you want to talk about songs and make it countable, then you use the word “song.”

“I heard some good songs on the radio.”

“This CD has 3 good songs.”
