In many countries employers have been asking for their Facebook account and Password in order to get the job.

Oregon joined 11 other states to stop for asking user account logins from employees, when a law passed begining in May 2013 went into change.

Laws protecting the privacy of your personal online accounts are needed because without them, employers and organizations like colleges and universities, are able to get access or interfare into your personal life.

According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, in past 2012, six states passed laws to prevent schools and employers from asking way to enter or passwords to social media accounts. In 2013 seven more states joined and passed same laws.

"When an employer asks for access to their social media, it's basically the same as if an employer asked for full access to their house ... poking through their mail, sitting in on conversations at the dinner table," says Dave Maass, a spokesperson for the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

ACLU advocacy and policy strategist Allie Bohm says schools frequently monitor the social media accounts of student-athletes.Some schools make law or rules for student to add school coach as a friend to social media accounts, while others make them install software like Varsity Monitor or UDiligence.

Nowadays Social media monitoring has gotten out of control and creating big problem for people to protect their identities. We need to stand up for our rights and demand for privacy and demand to stop employers from asking for Facebook passwords in order to get the job.
