Knife and Fruit in front of the Window

1917:-

Knife and Fruit in front of the Window was painted by Diego Rivera in 1917.He was born in Guanajuato, Mexico on December 8,1886 and  was a prominent Mexican painter. He died on November 24, 1957.Knife and Fruit by the Window was painted three days after the death of the son of Angelina Beloff and Diego Rivera. It is a life showing image that containing a juice and something that tast good, brightly colored pieces of fruit in the foreground. The effect of the French painter Paul Cézanne, whom Diego Rivera attracted, is clear in the work of art given to each and every element in the composition. The placement of the fruits, carefully arranged, the window of Rivera’s studio on Rue du Départ, looking over the rooftops of Paris, and the upper left section, which catches a glimpse of the tree-lined city street near the studio, in the particular palce of the Gare Montparnasse.Grays and browns colors are greater in amount by means of which Rivera looks to reflect the life of the city, as he catches the distinctive qualities of a vertical Paris, on a cold, gray day, set off against the deep reddish-browns of some of the rooftops and the colored fruit, both these elements get the attention of viewers. The touch of light is made through the wine bottle, with its shining refraction, and the right edge of the table.
