Sony have introduced USB flash drives which provide external storage option for smartphones and tablets.The USB flash drive has been designed for users with very low storage capacities on their Android smartphones or tablets.By this device users directly transfer files from their phone to PC without removing the microSD card.In other words, you can transfer photos, videos, music, documents, and other files without a USB cable.Sony offers a free File Manager app which you can download from the Google Play Store.The micro USB flash drive is a full USB 2.0 port and a microUSB connector.The device can be used with Android devices with USB flash drive connectivity using Android version 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and will compatible with Android 4.4 KitKat.The Sony USB flash drive will be available at cost of $19.99 for 8GB, 16 GB at $29.99 and 32GB at $62.99 with three different cap colours.These drives are expected to available globally in January 2014.Like Sony, Strontium has also launched USB On-The-Go drives for smartphones and tablets.Strontium On-The-Go USB drives will be available in capacities of 8GB to 64GB with 5 year warranty.
